DO YOU HOME SCHOOL?

Sometimes home schooling can feel like a circus.  On a weekly basis, we walk a tightrope, jump through hoops, wear different hats, and juggle many responsibilities.

Perhaps the title “home school parent” should be more aptly named “ringmaster”.   But when it comes to educating our children, we think home schooling is one of the “greatest shows on earth”.

The experience is easier and more rewarding when we share it with people of like faith, especially when we pool our talents and giftings for our mutual benefit.

This is the purpose of the Southwest Hills Home School Co-Op:  to enrich the home education experience for the families of our congregation in the spirit of excellence and servanthood.

If you’re a home educator, you’re welcome to join our group if you meet our requirements.

Who We Are

The Southwest Hills Home School Co-op is a ministry of Southwest Hills Baptist Church.  Our purpose is to glorify God through encouraging, exhorting, and admonishing one another to train up our children to be godly men and women.

The co-op exists to assist families in home schooling and is not meant to replace parental responsibility.  We believe God and His work are central to all areas of life and education.

What We Offer

Our primary activities include Thursday Enrichment Classes, field trips and parties.

Co-op members teach enrichment classes, with topics ranging from math and science to art, music and more.  Classes are available for Pre-K through 12th grade.

Please refer to the website for class schedules and course descriptions.

Other resources and activities at our church include achievement testing, Scholastic book orders, and a home school band.  Most importantly, you can have the opportunity for you and your children to develop lasting relationships with other home schoolers of like faith.
